REGISTRATION OPENS TODAY: Exploring Post-Secondary Pathways Event at Sheridan
Hello Grade 11-12+ HDSB students and families,
Registration for the Exploring Post-Secondary Pathways Event at Sheridan is OPEN AT 6 p.m. TODAY!
Please register through the Eventbrite link for the October 23 (5 - 6:30 p.m. or 7 - 8:30 p.m.) or October 24 (5 - 6:30 p.m. or 7 - 8:30 p.m.) session. Select only one block on one of the two event days. Participation in the event is free and event tickets will be checked upon entry. Note: The Eventbrite link will not be accessible until 6 p.m. this evening.
HDSB families are requested to register one parent/guardian/caregiver and their child (a student in Grade 11-12+) to ensure the broadest possible access to the event. Please ensure that each individual attending is registered through Eventbrite as there is limited capacity for each session. Ticket holders will be sent specific parking directions and a campus map the week before the event.
A waitlist will be offered through Eventbrite for those families that do not secure tickets. A pre-recorded Post-Secondary Planning Workshop will be sent to all those registered and on the waitlist the week before the event, as well as posted on the Transition to Post-Secondary webpage on HDSB.ca.
Event Details
The Halton District School Board Exploring Post-Secondary Pathways event will be hosted at Sheridan College - Trafalgar Campus (1430 Trafalgar Road, Oakville) on Wednesday, October 23 and Thursday, October 24. The event has been designed specifically for Grade 11, 12 and 12+ HDSB students and a parent/guardian/caregiver.
The event will provide families with the opportunity to tour a post-secondary pathways fair with representatives from apprenticeship, college, community, university and work-related institutions and organizations over their 90-minute event block. A complete list of participating exhibitors can be found on the event website.
