Did you know that the Eiffel Tower is Paris’s most visited monument and one of the most visited sites in the world?  Did you know that when it was built, it was considered by many to be an ugly addition to the Paris skyline? Come and see what 7 million others see every year.  Join Aldershot’s trip to Paris in March 2019. It is open to all grade 9 to 12 students. There is a $435 discount for all students who register before June 21. See Mr. Stuart in room 239 if you have any questions.

Now for LIONS sports updates:  Congrats to the Ultimate Frisbee Team for qualifying for GHAC! Yesterday, they won 5 out of 6 games, beating AAA schools: White Oaks, Abby Park, Craig Kielburger, OT as well as beating Acton. Great team play!  Also congrats to the track team and specifically Jordan Reish, Josh & Nick Selway for qualifying for South OFSAA, pnd a Personal best for Jordan Ellsworth too. We are expecting more qualifications today. Rugby, Tennis, Baseball, and soccer are still in it to win it! Try and catch a game if you can….so much happening here in the LION’S den!

Aldershot Writers!  Now that you’ve had a one day break from writing, get back into it! The Eden Mills Writer’s Festival is looking for your Poetry Entry for the 2018 Poetry Contest for Teens.

Art room will be open at 2nd break, the whole break, for any grade 8’s to work on anything with Mr. Wilson

Aldershot’s soccer season kicked off last night against Brant Hills. Both the boys and girls teams played hard but came up short, losing 4-3 for the boys and 4-1 for the girls. An amazing effort from Kole G., Nathan S., and Lexington M. for the boys, and Reese A. for the girls. Special mention goes to Sophia Mudie for stepping up and playing goalie for her very first time!
