Do you have little to no artistic talent?  Then come to the library today to participate in our “paint by sticker” de-stressing activity.  No artistic talent is needed! However, if you do have artistic ability, you might want to consider entering the library’s “Thank you for the Music” writing contest!  For more details, see Ms. Weber!

Congrats to the boys baseball team on winning their 3rd league game in a row, remaining in first place.  Excellent pitching by Conner Stapleford, Thorpe, and Ben Zarnke provided the way to an 8-4 win over Blakelock.. Well done

If you would like to make a Mindfulness Bottle on Friday, please sign up in the library for the Mindfulness Bottle making session that is running Friday during P.3 and P.4. There are only spots for 10 people per period so make sure you sign up as soon as possible.

If you have applied to be a Link Leader for the 2018-2019 school year, then you need to check your halton e-mail account to find out if you have been accepted.  Please note that the date for May Development Day is Wednesday May 23 and this is a mandatory training.

Person 1- Hey what’s that sizzling sound???

P2- I know that sound it’s the sound of burgers sizzling on a BBQ

P1- Oh no, that’s right I have to hand in my BBQ form or I’ll be listening to that sound and then missing out on a juicy burger !!!

P2- You got that right- make sure you hand in your form so you don’t miss out !!!

Speaking of forms….Junior Band members better make sure that their permission forms are in for Wonderland.  If you have yours here today, drop it off to Ms Taylor in the music room.




Attention ACE members: Please meet in Mrs Krug’s room today at the beginning of first break, that’s at 9:50am, for a quick group photo. The photo previously taken is not suitable for the yearbook. Thank you for your understanding. Our meeting will follow the group photo!  

The Aldershot Secondary student council elections are fast approaching and we need all grade 8’s to vote.  Do you know who’s running for Prime minister? What about minister of Communications? Find out so that you can make an informed vote on Monday!

Congratulations, Junior Band and Take Five Plus!   You should be very proud of your performances last night.  Ms Taylor is very happy with how you played and how responsible you were throughout the evening.  There were so many great comments about how well you played. Thank you.


There will still be a rehearsal at 2nd break today.  Everyone going to Wonderland must attend. Important information about our trip will be given.  If you have your permission form here today, please bring it to the rehearsal.

Before you leave for the weekend today, make sure you visit the library!  It might be time to renew your books or to take out a new one or to just pick up a new bookmark!  Also, you can pick up the details for our new writing contest called, “Thank you for the Music.”

Only ONE day left to hand in your Track Day BBQ form- you can do it online or bring it in on MONDAY- don’t miss out !!! They’re going to be DEEEEEELICOUS !!!

This announcement is for grade eights student;  Did you know that 89 million people visit France every year?  It is the most visited country in the world because of its breathtaking capital city, beautiful countryside, rich history and amazing food.  Aldershot is going to France in March 2019. You can be one of the millions who appreciate its beauty every year! We will be visiting Paris, La Loire, Brittany and Normandy.  The trip is open to all grade 9 - 12 students.
